GOD WILL HONOUR YOU

John 12:26
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Many today still believe Jesus came for the Jews only. But when Jesus said, "Whoever serves me must follow me,"  He meant all people regardless who they were and what background they came from. The good news and salvation is for everyone so let's not allow our social or racial differences to become a stumbling block.

What does it mean to be honored? One definition from the Webster’s dictionary says this: a showing of usually merited respect. Another one says: to honor is to respect or esteem. It’s costly to follow Christ, but God will honor, respect and esteem everyone of us for doing so.

Power verses:
"Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: 'I promised that your house and your father's house would minister before me forever.' But now the LORD declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.--1 Samuel 2:30

"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.--John 17:24

He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.--Psalm 91:15

  1. I like that you put the conditions for God's honour. More often than not, we Christians always want gifts from God without doing the needful.

Bless you for this and thanks for stopping by at mine

  2. @Koinonia I know right :-) Sometimes I can't blame as when we do that because we have servants of God who are meant to lead and nurture the flock they have been ordained to. But don't do their job probably for lack of selfish reasons. Not saying that, so many Christians live a cheap Christian life too by not desiring to study the word of God for themselves. Instead waiting to be prayed for by men of God and be told what to do.

God loves us very much and we all know He will do anything for us however, His promises always comes with an instruction. And that is the mark of a Father. Thank you for stopping by and I thank God you have been blessed this devotion.

    Shalom,
    Enyonam
