1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
The Scripture above indicate that God wants to provide help for us when we are being tempted. If you are having trouble resisting temptation, ask God for help. He will provide help because of His love for you. When we sincerely demonstrate our love to God and a genuine desire to be serious followers, then He will provide help for resisting temptations. Actually, we will find many helpful scriptures which the Lord has already spoken through His written word, the Bible. He has promised to help us in our time of need. Because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross, we have an abundant provision of God’s grace that will help us resist and overcome temptations. He was tempted in all areas as we are, but was able to remain without sin.
The Bible says in Hebrews 2:18, "Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted." Knowing that Christ suffered pain and faced temptation helps us face our own trials in the sense that, we know we are not alone and have by no means been singled out. Sometimes as Christians we think Jesus doesn't understand our struggles with sin and temptation because He was without sin. But we fail to remember how Jesus Himself faced these same temptations when He was in human form to be sacrificed as a lamb for our sins.
Our savior can teach us how to be strong when it comes to resisting temptations. So I encourage you today to trust Him to help you overcome temptation. When you are faced with trials, go to Jesus for strength and courage. He understands your needs better than you think and His grace is sufficient to see overcome anything.

This is so profound. God made a way out of every tempting situation and all we have to do is seek Him to show us that way out. Here's what I always say to my flesh: 'SHOUT FOR HELP!!!' God always respond.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that sis, He certainly is faithful!
