Colossians 1:28-29
So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.
As Believers we have to strive for spiritual maturity so we can be presented to God, complete in our relationship with Christ. This we do, not with our own strength but with the help of the Holy Spirit working within us. Who motivates us daily to grow in love not in fear or pride. I was just having a discussion with someone about using natural remedies and just being careful of what we put and allow into our bodies. To go straight to the point she said, you can't convince me to believer otherwise. Which I thought was rather interesting because I wasn't even trying to convince her we were both just making our points clear as to what we believe works better. I said to her, what either of us believe doesn't make it right or wrong and I will by no means try to convince you or anyone for that matter. And I went on to say, we believe what we believe based mostly on our personal experiences and encounter and usually this has a direct reflection in us as a person. The best form of advertising is word of mouth. And the direct transformation and impact it has on our life either right or wrong. People call it seeing is believing!
It's like us Christian, some believe their faith is a personal and a private affair where as for me it's who I am and how I live ( lifestyle). Some Christians are uncomfortable to share their faith in fear of being called names or being referred to as trying to convince. We don't have to convince people of who Christ is and how much He loves them. Like Paul rightly said, he works hard to strive to be a reflection of Christ to others but he couldn't do that without depending on the mighty power of the Holy Spirit working within him. Without the Holy Spirit working within us and motivating us to live a life of God's love and compassion it is almost impossible to tell anyone how much Jesus has changed our life and how He will for them too if they gave their lives to Him. This is the same for you and I. As Christ works within us, His power within us makes it easy for others to see and recognise His love through us thus making it easy for us to share His message with them.
Salvation is for everyone no matter what they may think or believe. The truth is without Christ, people are doomed to eternal separation from God. So it's our duty to share the good news of our salvation with others who don't know about Christ and we don't have to it with out own strength. We have the power of Christ working within us to reach out in love. The Bible says in Philippians 1:13, "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Reflections:
Do you know someone who needs to hear this message?
Power verses:
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.-- 1Timothy 1:12
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.--2 Corinthians 12:9
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully--Colossians 1:11
