WHAT WILL YOU FOCUS ON TODAY?

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Every day we have a choice to either focus on sinful things or to follow after the things of the spirit. What will you be focusing on today?

In this time we live in, it is possible to be totally surrounded by the things of God throughout our day. We have thousands of Christian radio stations to listen to, many different translations of the Bible to read and a book on every subject that you can think of in terms our spiritual growth. We have at our disposal more than enough to help us keep our mind set on godly things.

Yet, even with all of these great tools to help us, it all boils down to the choices that you and I will make. We can either choose to walk in the flesh or choose to stay focused on God. As Christians, we must consciously choose to daily center our lives on God. And in doing that, our lives will always be filled with His peace, love and unspeakable joy even in this turbulent world we live in. And not only that, this will also help us grow, increase and strengthen our faith in Him too. I always found that, finding me a quiet, solitary place to spend time in prayer really helps me to focus on  the spiritual things.Why don't you try that today, it doesn't have to be for hours on end. You could even use part of your launch break and you will be amazed how rejuvenated your spirit will be when you go back to work.

Reflections:
Do not allow yourselves to be controlled by your carnally mind. You have a choice to choose right and you also have the grace of God to make perfect all your weaknesses. You need not do this alone nor by your own strength.

Power verses:
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.--2 Corinthians 12:9

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.---Ephesians 3:16

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully.---Colossians 1:11
