I WILL BE WITH YOU

Isaiah 43:1-2
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Often as Christians we believe that we should never go through trials and tribulations. We believe that once we give our life to Christ everything should be a bed of roses, and we should never face challenges. This leaves many of us frustrated when we face a challenge and it is not resolved immediately we start to get frustrated with God. However the God's word does not say we will be challenge or trial free in fact it says the opposite. But through these trials and tribulations God says: 'I will be with you.'

Whilst we are this earth, there are always going to be challenges but for us as Christians we must hold on to the promises of God that says, 'Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV)

God will be with us through every trial we face in life because we are His and as our creator He knows what is best for us. To enable Him to do this we must be completely dependant on Him. Once we do this we can walk through the fire (any challenge in life) and not be burned, we will come out victorious and His name will be gloried. However when we try to go ahead of God we will end up limiting God. We try to determine the outcome and leave little room for God to take charge. God is a problem solver but God has a bigger vision for us His children. God is the only one who knows what the outcome is going to be and it is not for us to worry ourselves over because the He says in Isaiah 55:8,"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."

When going through any trial or challenge it is often easy to use our carnal mind and just run with what we think is best but is this likely to end in frustration. A completed product cannot write a user manual it must be the creator who explains how to use the product. Therefore because God is our creator He must be our sole guide and we must follow the directives He sets out for us. When facing a challenge allow God to order your steps because He knows you better than you know yourself and knows what the end product is going to be so surely He is be your best director!
