Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
This is a devotion I wrote some months back and I felt led to share it again today. I hope it blesses someone!
When we surrender our lives to God and accept Christ as our personal Lord and saviour, our spirit becomes born again. When our mother brought us into the world, we were born in the natural flesh, but when God caused us to be reborn - it’s our spirit that new life is given to. The Bible says that our spirit bears witness with God’s Spirit that we are children of God. (Romans 8:16)
A true worshiper has been spiritually reborn through the power of Christ’s death and resurrection. This is the only way to worship in spirit and in truth. Because we have become God’s children through surrendering our lives to Christ, our spirit can connect with His Holy Spirit and true worship can happen. Any other type of worship is considered false worship in the eyes of our Lord. You must be born again and completely surrender it all to God without holding anything back!
