MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL HEALTH IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE


Proverbs 4:20-24
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flows the springs of life



Have you been maintaining your relationship with God and spiritual health? It’s vital to the life of a Christian. When our heart is hurting, and we are upset, we must protect our heart. For God has deposited spiritual truths in us for the objective of us relating them to others. Yes, through you God can bring a hopeful word to someone. Start with prayer, this gives God authorization to help us. The Bible says let not your heart be troubled but put your trust in God. Keep the focus on Jesus rather than the upsetting circumstances, as best as you can, this helps in maintaining good spiritual health. He has said (Jesus), He will in no way leave nor forsake us.

Communication comes after that because wisdom, at times, is discovered in the council of others. It is lovely to reason things out every now and then, being watchful to not gossip or condemn. Keep a guard on your spirit today and safeguard the call God has placed on your life. If we can remain in good spiritual health by guarding our hearts and remaining in God’s word, our life as a Christian will shine brightly to all those around us. Our Christian life is a heart thing!


Reflections:
Take some time today reflect and be honest to yourself by seeking God in prayer about anything that might be hidden in your heart that you might not know of. Like the Bible says, "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?
