WHAT SEEDS ARE PLANTING?

John 4:37-38
'One sows and another reaps' is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor."

One of the ways to have a beautiful garden of pretty flourishing flowers is to prepare the soil, plant the seeds, water them tenderly and lovingly care for them. Believers, we are responsible for the planting of the seeds of God's love into the lives of unbelievers so that there will be a harvest of souls to reap.  The reason is, in order for there to be a continuing harvest; there must be a continual planting. Some people are easy to witness to; this can be compared to moist prepared soil and others are more difficult, which would compare to the harder ground that requires more effort to plant the seed into.

My prayer is that throughout our nations, there will be a great sowing of good seeds. My intention is to let it begin with me today. Think about the many types of seeds there are in your hands and how they can be sown into the lives of the unbelievers we come cross. Here are some hints; make use of Gospel tracts, music and messages Cd's and serving others. Remember too, that there are false teachers sowing weeds, we must do our part to sow the truth of God’s word.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Ask your self, where will I be if someone hadn't sow the seed of God's love in your life?

VERSES FOR MEDITATION:
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.--John 3:17

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.--John 17:8

  1. So true.

I feel like the challenge i face sometimes is the fact that in Nigeria, a lot of people are 'Jesus friendly' but not necessarily real belivers.

They go to church occassionally or even frequently but do not really have a personal relationship with the Lord. So they've heard all you have to tell them before but you know that they still they don't really get it.

Reaching these kinds of people can be difficult. I am surrounded by them daily, and im still trying to figure out how to get thorugh to them. I guess i can only do my bit, like my pastor always says; I am not the Holy Spirit, i can't change people. I can only plant a seed in their lives

    Insightful post as usual

    Many Blessings

  2. @Mini B, I totally understand what you are saying and you will be surprise it is not only in Nigeria but even here in England. It is very true that there are alot of people in church that actually believe they are Christians but are not. So what I suggest is, start from your local church. This is the time to have an accountability partner. Someone you know needs help where you share with them what your learnt in your quiet time or during bible study and get them to share theirs with you too.

If they say have no clue what that is, help them to form the habit and do it together to help encourage each other through prayer and sharing the word. Or if possible creat a group and call it lovers of Christ, or living by faith, walking by faith anything you want. It can start just with you and one other person then gradually move on to increase as you guys invite and start sowing the seed of God's love in your local area. It just takes one person to make a difference but always remember like your pastor said it's God who convicts heart. All He needs us to do is to sow the seed by sharing His love with them.

Why don't you pray about it by seeking God's face for direction. Sis, it's time for the harvest and we must do whatever we can to save those lukewarm and cold christians because the bible says, God will vomit them out cos He doesn't like it. You will be fine, bless your heart.

    thank you,
    Enyonam
