BITTERNESS AND BETRAYAL

Ephesians 4:31-32

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

We have very little control over how other people treat us. Often times we are betrayed by others through situations like losing a job, people telling lies or broken relationships. What we do have control over is our attitude. Today's scripture instructs us to get rid of all bitterness. There is another verse in Hebrews 12 that says, bitterness causes trouble.

The best place to get rid of bitterness is in prayer and by reading scriptures concerning the subject. Look for verses about love and forgiveness, that will wash away the ugly taste of bitterness.
